ENGRAVING EXHIBITION
The Megaro Gyzi Festival 2007 opens with an exhibition with title «Santorini through engravings and drawings by Greek artists» from the private collections of Yannis Papaconstantinou and Manolis Lignos. Rare and significant engravings (woodcuts, etchings, lithographs) and drawings by greek artists from 1866 to 2007 will be exhibited.

At the opening night of the exhibition, the new edition by Cultural Centre Megaro Gyzi will be also presented. It is a new publication entitled «Santorini – Engravings and Drawings by Greek Artists».
This bilingual edition, in greek and english, includes 212 engravings and drawings by 50 Greek artists from 1866 to 2007 with Santorini as theme. Nikos Grigorakis, Art Historian, Writer and Director of the Engraving Museum in Athens, is the Writer, while the collector Yannis Papaconstantinou, Artistic Director of the Cultural Centre Megaro Gyzi, is the Editor of the publication.
Nikos Grigorakis, Art Historian and Writer, will be the speaker of the opening evening.
