SUMMARY:ARTON TRIO
DESCRIPTION:ARTON TRIO\nYOUNG MASTERS ENSEMBLE \nThis dynamic young trio from Vienna\, Austria\, formed in the fall of 2017 when pianist Sophie Druml\, violinist Andreas Siles Mellinger (who performed at the Gyzi Megaron Festival with the Young Masters Ensemble last summer) and cellist Lukas Rothenfußer first played together and discovered their love for chamber music. All three study at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna\, and their ensemble is coached by the pianist Prof. Stefan Mendl from the Vienna Piano Trio.\nThe name ARTON is not only a combination of the English word “art” and the German word “Ton” (tone)\, it is also Swedish for 18\, a number that appears in some form in all of their birthdays and in the date of their first rehearsal. The trio’s passion is discovering\, rehearsing and performing the rich repertoire for piano trio\, and they will present a diverse programme from Schubert\, Piazzolla and others at the Gyzi Megaron Festival. \nAndreas Siles Mellinger (violin)\nLukas Rothenfußer (violoncello)\nSophie Druml (piano)

DESCRIPTION:YIORGOS KALOUDIS – INNOVATING TRADITION \nThrough the freedom of silence where time expands\, the composer is searching the precious enlightenment through the poetic truth of the Cello and the Cretan Lyra sound\, revealing soundscapes\, and extending the expressive limits of the two instruments.\nHe uses the live-loop-recording technique to orchestrate sound layers during his performance.\nA string environment is creating the particular harmonic architecture of the Cello and the Cretan Lyra.\nThrough the architecture of harmony\, inspired by the emotional imprinting depth of the musical landscape and freedom of improvisation\, the concert reveals a sound horizon with apparent influences from Classical\, Ambient and World music.\nYiorgos Kaloudis’ solo concert consists of pieces from his discography\, “J.S. DESCRIPTION:NATIONAL RADIO SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA (ERT) \nThe National Radio Symphony Orchestra (ERT) was founded in 1938 and covers the classical\, Greek and foreign repertoire. It has performed works by important Greek and foreign composers\, masters and researchers through recordings\, live broadcasts from radio and television\, as well as concerts in Athens and the region.\nThe National Radio Symphony Orchestra (ERT) has been directed by many Greek and foreign conductors as well as internationally renowned composers\, and has collaborated with many famous artists\, Greek and foreign\, such as: David Oistrach\, Gina Bahauber\, Jose Carreras\, Agni Baltsas\, Vaso Papantoniou\, Montserrat Caballé\, Plácido Domingo\, Rolando Villazón\, Leonidas Kavakos\, Dimitris Sgouros\, Roberto Alagna\, Angela Gheorghiu\, Andrea Bocelli\, José Cura\, Juan Diego Flórez.\nThe Orchestra has performed in Herodes Atticus Theatre\, in Patras’ Festival\, the Belgrade Festival\, Cairo Opera\, in Montreal\, Cologne\, Paris\, Istanbul\, in international music events in collaboration with EBU (European Broadcasting Union)\, at the Athens Concert Hall and in many cities in Greece. In October 2006\, the National Radio Symphony Orchestra (ERT) performed at the United Nations General Assembly Hall and at the Lincoln Center in New York. In October 2007\, at the Poly Theater in Beijing\, it held the opening concert as part of the events for Greece’s cultural year in China. Today the Orchestra is considered to be one of the most dynamic and active symphonic bands in Greece. Since August 2016\, Anastasios Symeonidis has been the Artistic Director of the Orchestra.\nAt the Gyzi Megaron Festival\, it will perform works by J.S. Bach\, J. Pachelbel\, W.A. Mozart\, N.
