DESCRIPTION:ALEXANDROS M. VALVIS\n\n“Fotodiodos 2001-2011” \nThe solo painting exhibition of Alexandros M. Valvis\, titled “Fotodiodos 2001-2011”\, will be launched at the Cultural Center Megaro Gyzi on Sunday 28th August. \nFotodiodos is the bridge to meet again with art as the code\, which creates the truth as an image and the reflected image becomes reality. \nThe artist returns to the island of his origin after a 18-year stay in Germany and presents for the first time in Santorini his work of the last ten years. He is going to exhibit paintings with mixed technique (acrylics\, natural materials\, resin on wood)\, but also some drawings (chalk & charcoal on paper Ingres). \nThe exhibition is organized and curated by Yannis Papaconstantinou\, Artistic Director of Megaro Gyzi. \nOpening of exhibition: Sunday 28th August 2011\, 21:00\nDuration of exhibition: 28 August – 24 September 2011 \nAlexandros M. DESCRIPTION:ΑΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟΣ Μ. ΒΑΛΒΗΣ\n\n\nΈκθεση Ζωγραφικής “ΦΩΤΟΔΙΟΔΟΣ 2001-2011”\nΑμέσως μετά τη λήξη του Φεστιβάλ Μεγάρου Γκύζη 2011\, θα εγκαινιασθεί την Κυριακή 28 Αυγούστου στο Πνευματικό Κέντρο ΜΕΓΑΡΟ ΓΚΥΖΗ η αναδρομική έκθεση ζωγραφικής του Αλέξανδρου Μ. Βάλβη με τίτλο “Φωτοδίοδος 2001-2011”. \nΦωτοδίοδος\, η γέφυρα της μεγάλης αντάμωσης με κώδικα την τέχνη\, που δημιουργεί την αλήθεια σαν εικόνα και το απεικονισμένο γίνεται πραγματικότητα. \nΟ καλλιτέχνης επιστρέφει στο νησί της καταγωγής του μετά την πολύχρονη διαμονή του στη Γερμανία και παρουσιάζει για πρώτη φορά στη Σαντορίνη τη δουλειά των τελευταίων δέκα ετών. Θα εκτεθούν ζωγραφικά έργα με μικτή τεχνική (ακρυλικά\, φυσικές ύλες\, ρητίνη σε ξύλο)\, αλλά και ορισμένα σχέδια (κιμωλία & κάρβουνο σε χαρτί Ingres). \n«Φανερόν ἐστιν\, ὅτι τὸ μὲν ἐν φωτὶ ὁρώμενον χρῶμα. Διὸ καὶ οὐχ ὁρᾶται ἄνευ φωτός· τοῦτο γὰρ ἦν αὐτῷ τὸ χρώματι εἶναι\, τὸ κινητικῷ εἶναι τοῦ κατ’ ἐνέργειαν διαφανοῦς· ἡ δ’ ἐντελέχεια τοῦ διαφανοῦς φῶς ἐστὶν»\nἈριστοτέλης «Περὶ Ψυχῆς» \nΟ Αλέξανδρος Βάλβης γεννήθηκε στην Αθήνα το 1952. Μετά τις σπουδές του στην Αθήνα σε Interior Design & Furniture Design (1969-1974) και Graphic Design (1974-1977)\, έφυγε στη Γερμανία\, όπου έζησε για 18 χρόνια (1978-1996) εργαζόμενος 16 χρόνια στο Μόναχο σαν ζωγράφος και γραφίστας. Είναι μέλος της Ένωσης των Βαυαρών καλλιτεχνών και μέλος του Επιμελητηρίου Εικαστικών Τεχνών Ελλάδος (ΕΕΤΕ) . Το 1996 επέστρεψε στην Ελλάδα και από τότε ζει και εργάζεται στην Αθήνα. \nΈχουν γίνει πολλές ατομικές εκθέσεις του\, οι περισσότερες στη Γερμανία\, ενώ έχει λάβει μέρος και σε πολλές ομαδικές εκθέσεις\, τόσο στη Γερμανία όσο και στην Ελλάδα. ΣΤο 2003 φιλοτέχνησε το έργο Πισιδία 2003 στο σταθμό του ΗΣΑΠ στη Νέα Ιωνία με την τεχνική του θερμού σμάλτου σε επιφάνεια χάλυβος. \nΤην επιμέλεια της έκθεσης έχει ο Γιάννης Παπακωνσταντίνου\, Καλλιτεχνικός Διευθυντής του Μεγάρου Γκύζη. \nΕγκαίνια έκθεσης: Κυριακή 28 Αυγούστου 2011\, 21:00\nΔιάρκεια έκθεσης: Κυριακή 28 Αυγούστου έως Σάββατο 24 Σεπτεμβρίου 2011
