SUMMARY:Musical excellence and friendliness…   Ile-de-France Youth Choir   Francis Bardot
DESCRIPTION:Musical excellence and friendliness… Ile-de-France Youth Choir \nFrancis Bardot \nThe Jeune Chœur d’Ile de France (Ile-de-France Youth Choir)\, founded in 1999\, is a natural extension of the Chœur d’Enfants d’Ile de France (Ile-de-France Children’s Choir). \nThe young men and women in the choir\, who range from 16 to 25 years of age\, receive a high standard of training in vocal technique. They most often perform with their own soloists\, some of which have successfully launched a professional career. \nSince its inception\, the Jeune Chœur d’Ile de France has received well-deserved notice in rarely performed and complex works\, such as Poulenc’s Stabat Mater and Gloria\, Handel’s Dixit Dominus\, Haydn’s Seven Last Words of Christ on the Cross\, Duruflé’s Requiem\, Bach Matthäus Passion and Guy Ropartz’s Mass in honor of Saint Anne. \nThe choir’s annual tours have taken them to many countries\, including the US\, Canada\, and Greece – also the destination of numerous music-themed trips over recent years. \n  \n

SUMMARY:"Secrets of the Water"
DESCRIPTION:The festival gives art lovers the opportunity to have the first contact with the newest section of the artist’s works. The artist explores in this work\, both thematically and artistically\, the world of water. With his characteristic writing\, he parallels poetic fluidity and charm of the aquatic world with our secret\, inner world\, the world of emotions and the unconscious. \nIn the words of Chris Kechagioglou: “Water is both the subject and the basic material of my new painting work. According to Dr Masaru Emoto\, in his book “The Secret Message of Water”\, water through the transformations of its crystal structure\, according to the different environments\, listens\, it has memory and registers. It is a mirror\, and adjusts our feelings and thoughts. On the other hand\, the water has an impressive visible presence in our world. It is the vast sea\, lakes and rivers\, the water in our everyday life\, and the rain\, snow and fog\, the dew. Reassuring and mysterious\, source and carrier of life and of painting\, simultaneously within us and around us\, we can see it as a huge laboratory of emotions. With my new work I attempt to withhold the secret messages and emotional responses of the color\, as water passes through and shapes it.” \nCurator of exhibition \nNikos Delendas \nOpening of exhibition \nFriday July 29 at 20.30 \nDuration of exhibition \nfrom July 29 until August 23\, 2016 \nATELIER KEX \nAn original experimental workshop in painting practice was created. Avoiding the known and tedious\, ineffective approach\, I tried to create a spiritual environment\, of exploration rather than apprenticeship in the strict sense\, that offers to participants\, and to me\, above all\, a way of a charming and adventurous deepening and review. \nRegardless of age\, experience and knowledge\, everyone worked as a team based on our common love\, in multiple levels of the magical world of painting. This exhibition\, which presents work done in 2016\, entitled “Holidays”\, is a first presentation of our effort.

SUMMARY:Chœur d’Enfants d’Ile de France-Francis Bardot
DESCRIPTION:Chœur d’Enfants d’Ile de France \nMaîtrise du Conservatoire Maurice Ravel de Levallois \nFrancis Bardot \nFrancis Bardot\, a former professor in classics Latin and Greek literature\, and in pedagogy at the Catholic Institute of Paris\, created his very own children’s choir in 1969. Its name changed according to the several institutions to whom they have been associated since that year\, but it remained\, among musicians\, as well as for the audience\, Francis Bardot’s choir ; renowned for its round and strong vocal spectrum\, the trustfulness and loyalty of its members\, the exigence of the repertoire and quality of their performances. \nIt has been the Paris Opera children’s choir for over twenty years\, as well as the choir of the Orchestre de Paris. Under Prof. Bardot’s direction\, known to be a specialist in matters of children voices in France\, the choir would gain recognition from the critics. \nFor nearly half a century\, touring on every continent\, the children choir has sang under the direction of most famous wands (Mehta\, Osawa\, Barenboïm\, Collins\, Abbado\, Kübelik\, Maazel…)\, and provided such figures of lyrical music as William Christie or Philippe Herreweghe with singers and soloists; throughout its career\, the choir sang alongside legends of lyrical arts among which stood for example Luciano Pavarotti\, Placido Domingo\, Teresa Berganza\, Jessye Norman and Natalie Dessay. \nThe Children Choir\, which is subsidized by the city of Levallois\, has been entitled for a decade to the city’s music and dramatic arts conservatory\, of which Francis Bardot was also the director. Each of the hundred and ten members who evolve within the choir is given the opportunity to receive a custom vocal and musical education. \nBy the end of their curriculum within the children’s choir\, singers can apply to the Jeune Choeur d’Ile de France.
